Android kitkat and then lollipop and then the amazing android m is the latest platform launched by Google on its android platform but till now only developers and some people had only access to it but now android m is going to be released to mobile devices on 5th of  October 2015
The developer had already their hands on the android 6.0 SDK from around August and now its time for user to get their updates so fasten up

Is your device android m update suitable

The NEXUS Series

Nothing surprising here, Google's own nexus line smart phones will be the first one to receive the update. Google already released developer preview of Android M for Nexus 5, Nexus 6, Nexus 9 and nexus player. We suggest you not to install Android M developers preview on your Nexus devices because it is very unstable and got many bugs(I tried on my N5)

The MOTO series

Motorola released the Android lollipop for their devices and Motorola is well known for providing time to time updates. Motorola is the only company which provides pure stock Android after the nexus line. We think that the company's latest flagship device 'Moto Turbo' will be the first Moto device to receive the Android M update and then the Moto X and Moto G but unfortunately, according to rumours Moto E 1st gen will not receive the update and the reason behind it may be the lack of hardware specifications .

Android One series

Android One a initiative launched by Google back at I/O 2014. Google promises to keep Android One devices up to date as they do with Nexus devices. So there's no doubt Android One phones will get the Android M update.

HTC

HTC is the only company to officially announced that their phones will get the Android M. HTC has said that the HTC One M9 and HTC One M9+ will be the first one to get update, followed by the other devices. HTC has not clearly said which other devices will get the update but we guess that the HTC One M8, One E9.

Jeff Gordon, Senior Global Online Communications Manager at HTC, in a tweet on may 28 announced the Android M update for both the smartphones without revealing an exact time-frame. Gordon also confirmed that more HTC devices likely to receive Android M update will be announced soon.

CyanogenMOD based phones

There's no doubt that phones running on official Cyanogen OS will get the update. Currently there are 3 phone that runs on Cyanogen The Oneplus one, Yureka and The Yuphoria. We guess that Oneplus one will be the first one to get update, followed by Yuphoria and Yureka . But, we can't say anything, As Yuphoria may be the first one to get update and the reason behind it is clear and i.e, conflict between Oneplus and Cyanogen. Oneplus will also come up with another version of Oxygen OS based on Android M or may be the Hydrogen OS which Oneplus announces few days back in China.

SAMSUNG

Samsung is the only company which provides time to time update only to it's flagship devices. There has been no official word from Samsung but we think that the Galaxy S6, S6 edge, Note 4, Note edge and the upcoming note 5 will get the update. Unfortunately, we guess that Galaxy S5 will not get the update due to it's massive price drop.

Sony

Sony is very bad at providing update and the time for Sony has not going well their flagship smart phones has still running on Android 5.0. Recently announced the list of devices getting android lollipop 5.1 update. So, There are very little chances of getting Android M on Sony devices this fall. We can expect sony to release the update in Q2 of 2016.

LG

Now coming to the LG, the upcoming LG G4 will obviously get the update and the G3 will also get the update as of now and LG G flex 2 is the only other phones that might get the update. There is no official word from LG but Lets hope many other LG flagship smartphones get the update soon.

AOct

Now the Asus, Asus is also very bad at providing updates. Asus Zenfone 2 is the only phone that might get the update. There is
