The Surge 1 is an Octacore processor with following configuration
1) 4 Cortex A53 clocked at 2.2Ghz
2) 4 Cortex A53 clocked at 1.4Ghz
As of GPU xaiomi has selected medaitek's Mali T860 which is a quad core processor for handling graphical performance all this is based on 28 nanometer process
The processor has and inbuilt 32 bit DSP:-digital signal processing for faster and less power efficient processing and 14bit ISP:-Image stabilisation processor for better images processing.As per benchmark surge 1 takes over snapdragon 625 and Helio P20 with an antutu score of 64,817
Right now the processer may not have any extra ordinary addition to available processor but it's first step toward independent processor but the benefits that the company could have is reduced cost in production increasing profit
As per availability the processor has been introduced through Mi5c right now but could feature in xaiomi upcoming budget smartphones.
